Rough Clean, Light Clean, Final Clean: The Three-Phase Structure
Rough Clean
The rough clean runs while construction is still active. Bulk debris, waste material, and the first layer of construction dust come out. The purpose is site clearance. Finishing trades should not be stepping around leftover framing scraps or drywall chunks. The rough clean keeps the project timeline moving.
Light Clean
The light clean runs after finishing trades wrap up. Once painters, electricians, and trim crews are done, CNS comes in for a full detail pass. Every surface gets wiped down. Windows get cleaned. Floors are swept and mopped by floor type. Construction dust settles in layers. A single pass never removes it all. The light clean addresses what's left after the rough clean and after the last subcontractor exits.
Final Clean
The final clean is always a separate visit, always right before occupancy. It's the white-glove pass. Floor care is type-specific. VCT gets different treatment than polished concrete or LVT.
